Our Pastured Poultry are chickens raised in small batches on green organic pasture which allows the birds to receive a significant amount of pasture forage as feed along with wholesome grain.  The birds are kept in a large portable pen (or chicken tractor) 12’X9’ without a floor, so they have access to fresh green grasses.  The pen is moved 2-3 times a day, so the chickens have fresh grass and live in a clean, healthy environment.  The pens protect the chickens from predators but gives them access to the outside full of grass, bugs, worms, and sunshine. 

The chickens that live in a healthier environment are healthier for you too!  They are lower in fat and cholesterol, but higher in Omega-3’s.  

Since their food is not certified organic, our chickens are not certified organic.  We have worked with our local feed mill to get great quality chicken feed without the meat by-products, antibiotics, or hormones. 

They are processed in a small USDA processing facility and fresh frozen.  Above all that, they taste delicious!

We sell our chickens whole for $3.50 a pound and they are about 3-5lbs. 

We will sell them at the Northside Farmer’s Market until they sell out...which was two weeks last time!
