❇️ Garlic Fertilizer 5-2-2 Application Instructions: 

Application Rate: ¼ cup per 4 sq. ft. 

Fall (Before Planting): 

  • Mix into the soil at double the standard rate. (1/2 cup per 4 sq. ft.) 

Spring Feeding: 

  • Broadcast ¼ cup per 4 sq. ft. every 1–2 weeks starting when garlic sprouts emerge. 
  • Stop applying one month before harvest, or once garlic produces a scape (do not fertilize after scapes appear). 
  • Water thoroughly after each application or apply just before rainfall. 

Liquid Use: 

  • Dissolve 1 tsp in 1 gallon of water to soak or apply.

    All garlic arrived on time for Fall planting. There were no cloves that I could not plant. Used a pre soak with your fertilizer and mulched with wheat straw. My USDA zone is 7B and had a mild Winter. I harvested mid June and got over 50 nice bulbs of garlic. This year’s yield was the best for me in the 4 years I’ve been growing garlic.     I used the Organic Fertilizer, and while the weather didn’t cooperate, the Garlic was clearly larger and better developed than the previous 2 years, when I had not use the same fertilizer. We’ll most definitely use this Organic Fertilizer again and again! I definitely recommend it! TLDR I’ve been growing garlic in a raised bed here in far western Maryland at an elevation of 2,700′ which is nearly the highest point in our state. Winters here begin in November and last often into April — very different than the majority of the state! This was my 4th year, and the second in a row with a very damp and rainy growing season. That has resulted in bulbs that don’t “paper over” completely by harvest time, which results in smaller and a shorter-lasting product.
