Hardneck Gourmet Garlic Sampler 1lb Details

  • 1lb is about 50-70 cloves & plants approx. 25-35 linear feet
  • Find the garlic that grows best for you.
  • Great for planting or eating!

Harvest Estimates: The estimate of 50-70 cloves is enough to plant approx. 25-35 linear feet or a 4’x4′ raised bed (depending on spacing). The harvest will likely be enough garlic to have about one bulb per week for the whole year.

Important Notes about Samplers

Keep Track of Varieties: All sampler packs are hand-picked for your success, so be sure to keep track of the varieties you receive. We do not keep records of varieties given in each sampler pack as it changes by region and availability of the season.

Special Requests: Please note that we cannot take special requests for sampler packs. If you have a specific variety that you’d like to try, we recommend that you order it separately.

Varietal Overlap: If you order multiple Sampler Packages, or combine a sampler with individual garlic bulbs, you might receive overlapping varieties. If you need completely unique varieties with no duplicates, we highly recommend purchasing your garlic bulbs individually rather than choosing a sampler. We always try to pack a diverse assortment of garlic for you based upon seasonal changes and availability.

    What a great garlic experience with Keene so far. In this sampler I received 4 varieties, 2 bulbs each, and got 60 beautiful & healthy cloves. I decided to try something new with these and do a fertilizer soak, so I ordered the Keene brand fertilizer. I soaked them and added the fertilizer to the ground as well (as directed). I couldn’t resist and very carefully checked on a clove a couple of weeks after planting, and was delighted to see a robust clove with a very healthy root system. I’ve been really happy with the shipping time, care of packaging, bulb quality, order updates, and instructions. I’ll be back for more next year!

    The garlic I grew this year from the Gourmet Garlic Sampler is beautiful, Before planting last fall I prepared it the way you explained in your website, and it turned out awesome.
    I shared some of it with a group I belong to and the feedback was that it was the best garlic hey have ever had. The Cresnok Red is a sight to behold, the purple stripes are eye catching and for me is the one I like best, although the Russian Red is impressive also and easier to peal. I would give this years garlic 2 thumbs up..

    This was a great introduction to growing garlic for me.
    Planting in the fall was easy, I did keep some chicken wire over the spot to keep the squirrels out.
    When it came up in the spring it was fun to have something growing while the rest of the garden went in.
    I loved cooking with the scapes and have had a beautiful harvest that’s hard to share.
    I want to keep it all for myself.
    I’m putting in a second bed for this season.
