Chesnok Red Certified Organic Garlic Bulbs

  • Beautiful red striped bulbs for great market appeal
  • Garlic flavor: Always a taste test winner with a rich sweet flavor when roasted and sautéed. Great raw too with a medium not to overpowering garlic flavor which is great in olive oil and salad dressing.
  • Storage: Longer into spring.
  • Collected in 1985 in the village of Shvelisi in the southern republic of Georgia

The bulb and clove amounts are ESTIMATES to help you determine how much garlic there is by weight for help with planting and spacing.   

Approx. 6-8 bulbs per pound and 72-96 cloves per lb. plants 36-48 linear feet at 6” spacing.

    Big beautiful garlic cloves for planting! I ordered the large, 1/4 lb of Chesnok Red organic which came out to 4 big, beautiful, healthy heads of garlic! When separated for planting, I ended up with 48 individual, very large, healthy cloves to plant! I wish I could add pictures! Thank you, Keene Organics! I’m going to follow the soaking instructions they sent with the heads and then plant them!

    The Chesnok garlic we purchased from Keene in 2025 was one of the “Stars” of our garden in 2026!
    Grew strong all through our harsh winter and stood strong during a rain wash-out spring followed up by soaring heat.
    Chesnok was our strongest producer giving us great flavor and larger bulbs.

    This was my second year growing Chesnok Reds. I love them! I plant them here in Georgia the first week in November and harvest end of June, first of July. They produce huge bulbs that are perfect for cooking. It is so awesome to have fresh garlic all year long. I am obsessed!
