Early Season Potato with Rosy Pink Skin & Golden Flesh

Red Gold Potatoes are early season gems that are excellent dug as “new” potatoes.  They produce many medium sized tubers with a moderate resistance to scab. Great yield potential, though not known for long storage. We tend to indulge in these tasty treats before our other varieties since they are some of the first out of the ground. They are versatile in the kitchen with their light skin & semi-moist flesh. Fantastic roasted, boiled or scalloped. They make a pretty golden potato salad!

  • If a seed potato is over 1 inch in diameter, you can cut them into pieces. Leave 1 – 2 eyes per piece. 8-10 pieces/lb avg., 1-lb bag plants approx. 8′-10′. Average planting rate: 10-12″ apart, in rows 30-36″ apart.
