Amarosa Fingerling Organic Seed Potato
Organic Amarosa Fingerling Seed Potatoes – Rare Red Variety, Antioxidant‑Rich & Gourmet Flavor
The Amarosa Fingerling Organic Seed Potato is more than just a crop—it’s a culinary treasure. With its smooth, ruby-magenta skin and marbled rose-pink flesh, Amarosa dazzles both in the garden and on the plate. Unlike ordinary potatoes, its vivid interior color holds strong through cooking, ensuring every dish is as beautiful as it is delicious.
Slender and oblong in shape, Amarosa fingerlings deliver a creamy, nutty flavor and firm texture that resists breaking apart during cooking. Whether roasted, steamed, fried, or turned into vibrant pink chips, their gourmet quality shines through. Toss them into colorful potato salads, cube them as a striking accent in green salads, or simply serve them warm with butter and herbs—the possibilities are endless.
Amarosa fingerlings combine beauty with nutrition, offering antioxidants, vitamin C, and essential minerals that make them as nourishing as they are eye‑catching. Highly productive, each plant can yield up to 30 plump 3–4 oz. tubers with shallow eyes and strong scab resistance. With moderate storage ability, their flavor lasts for weeks after harvest, and their adaptability across different climates makes them a dependable choice for both home gardeners and market growers.

🌱 Seed Potato Growing Information
- Soil: Potatoes thrive in deep, loamy soil that holds moisture yet drains well. They adapt to less than ideal soils but produce best with plenty of organic matter. Create nutrient‑rich soil with our Veggies NKO Organic Fertilizer for healthier plants and higher yields.
- Planting Time: Plant as soon as the ground can be worked, ideally when soil reaches ~45°F. Timing varies by region. Potatoes tolerate light frost but may need protection from hard, late frosts. The Farmers Almanac Planting Calendar by zip code is a great resource for planting times.
- Bed Feet per Pound: 1-lb bag plants approximately 6-8 row feet, depending on the variety. If a seed potato is over 1 inch in diameter, you can cut them into pieces. Leave 1 – 2 eyes per piece. Average is 6-8 pieces/lb., more for Fingerlings. Average planting rate: 10-12″ apart, in rows 30-36″ apart.
- Water: Consistent watering is key. Provide ~1″ of water per week. Stop watering once plants naturally die back.
